Ahhh what a lovely lovely weekend.
Friday night was spent drinking copious amounts of white wine and west coast cooler (seriously, don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it – it’s classy…) watching Intermission, Superbad and Honey (bad baaaaad film but Jessica Alba is smokin’!).
On Saturday, I had a lovely lie in, watched CSI and then went to the cinema to see….. Juno! Yay, yay, yay! What a wonderful, sweet, funny, heartwarming piece of cinema. I was so afraid that it wouldn’t live up to the hype and I’d be disappointed like so many times I’ve been to the cinema recently. But – happy days – I loved it. It took me about 15 minutes to get used to Juno’s quirky jokes and humour but once the film settles down into it’s groove, I fell in love with Juno and all of her surrounding cast. Just lovely. And I bawled like a baby at the end but I think I was the only one in the cinema in that state – I’m too sensitive.
On Sunday me and the fella went out to Clontarf for the first time in years. It’s absolutely gorgeous out there. We nearly made it to Howth but ‘someone’s’ hangover kicked in *cough-not me-cough*.
After a bit we did a u-turn and headed for Dun Laoighaire just in time for the chipper to open. Wrapped up in about twenty layers of jumpers, coats and hats; we strolled up the pier scoffing on chips and battered sausages. Perfeck.
