The lovely Miss Lottie made me feel extra special yesterday when she memed me – it almost never happens (woe is me) so yay!!
And it’s a lovely positive meme too, listing 6 things that tickle your pickle. Tee hee.
1. Singing.. I adore it. If I’m in a bad mood, I’ll lash on the radio and have a good old singalong, much to the annoyance of those around me. My dad’s a singer so I’d like to think it runs in the blood. He’d probably tell you otherwise though.
2. Food. Holy God, I love my food. Especially if it’s made up of about 90% carbohydrates. Pizza with double pepperoni and jalepeno peppers, pasta with chorizo and tomato sauce, spicy chicken fillet baguettes with lots of cheeze and mayo, fajitas oozing with salsa and sour cream, chipper chips steaming with salt and vinegar – my stomach is literally growling now. Unfortunately, I like food a little too much and it tends to like me too; remaining with me on my hips and thighs but feck it, it’s worth it.
3. Live music. This sort of relates to number 1 in that I can pretty much scream along with the music and nobody cares. Recorded music never sounds as good as it does when the band/singer are in front of you in a pub/hall/field/tent/insertvenuehere blaring out music at 80 decibels. Or better still, sitting in a cozy intimate venue, soaking in the atmosphere whilst the artist is practically sitting on your lap and doesn’t even need a mic. Bliss.
4. Films that make me cry. It might be strange to enjoy something that makes me cry but I really do. It’s such a good form of emotional release. There are some films (too cheesy to name) that no matter how many times I see, I will always cry at the exact same point. All I’ll say is that one involves a singer with large hair and a nose to match. Legend.
5. Gin and tonics. So so refreshing and dangerously easy to drink.
6. My mates. Couldn’t do without them. I’m entering cliché city right now, but they’re the best bunch of people I could ever hope for. They’ve been there for me through the fun times, bad times, and too-many-gin-and-tonic-times. Over the years we’ve enjoyed stories of banana boats, lady gardens, dodgy tummies (eek!), conquests and heartbreaks and that’s just one girl.
And now to point the finger of doom at 5 others…..
1. Mr B’dum B’dum (tish!) of “Positive Boredom.
2. Miss Lynnie of Lyndar the Merciless.
3. Miss Rachel of Fairy Cake Heaven.
4. Mr Pedro of Moscooch.com.
5. MJ of Shadows at Sunset.
Mwhahahahaha.

Brilliant! This’ll do for one of the days I’m at the electric picnic.
