Eurovision to return to jury voting (sort of)

I’m sure it reflects quite sadly on me that this is probably the best news I’ve heard in awhile. Ok today anyways.

The Eurovision was always a fave of mine when I was growing up. Probably because I had delusions of becoming a singer combined with a love of all things tacktastic. And probably because poor Ireland always came paddy last in pretty much everything else. To me, it was the one thing we seemed good at really.

But then, the dreaded phone voting came in and no one seemed to like us anymore. Everyone has heard the tired old story about bloc voting but it does appear to be true. Fair enough, we’ve entered nothing really but shoite in the last decade but I doubt even entering Bono could have got us enough points to win.

And so it was with great pleasure that I read jury voting was to be reintroduced to the Eurovision along with phone voting. What power the jury will have is yet to be decided but I’m hoping a lot more than the bleedin’ phone voters anyways.

I vote we enter Bosco in next year πŸ˜€

Bosco! That’s just genius. After all the outrage over a turkey, imagine the furore over a somewhat androgynous puppet.

I’m writing a concept album of sorts and would offer to enter my pop song in. It’s called “Filthy, Filthy Foreigners- Those Damn Dirty Racists”.

Hehe it’s not too bad thanks Roy. I can actually move the car now and I’m not freaking out every time I see a red light. I think I’ve finally mastered the clutch, hurray!

I’m still bloody awful at reversing around the corner though 😦
