It’s Friday. Oh my God!
Don’t get me wrong, I love my job to bits but I also love my bed. A lot. And the thoughts of that wonderful lie in tomorrow snuggled up in my cosy duvet, watching mindless tv and munching on hot buttered toast and tea – pure bliss. I’ve been getting up verrrry early the last few Saturdays to practice driving with the Da. Saturday mornings are great for getting practice at those dreaded junctions and round abouts as most people are cosied up in their leabas blissfully unaware of the lethal weapon taking to the roads.
But lately, I seemed to have improved a fair bit at the ould driving. The clutch is no longer public enemy number 1 and I can approach a red light and take off without cursing like a sailor (my poor father).
And so tomorrow morning, I think I owe to it myself, and my saint of a Dad, to bury myself in the bed for a few hours and leave the sleepy Saturday drivers to their business. Hurrah.

My poor dad is sooo much better than he used to be, but he’s still a nervous wreck!
