Work has been pretty busy so far this week and it’s only humpday. Sigh. I feel like it’s humpday of next week.

My ‘creative’ side has let me down the past few days. I have found plenty of irrelevant things to keep me entertained but other than clicking on random links, I am feeling rather useless at the mo.

This weekend, inspired by a trip to the new X-Music store in the Red Cow Retail Centre, I whipped out my dusty guitar with the hopes of becoming a musical genius. Having given up formal lessons at the age of 12, this might have been a bit of a stretch. However, I did manage to do an accoustic version of Rihanna’s Umbrella, albeit it a rather rusty version. Then again, who hasn’t?

I put the guitar back in the spare room with the promise that I would play it again this weekend and settled down to watch the repeat of X Factor. I could kick those kids asses to the moon with my vocal talents. Er.. wait a minute… why does that girl sound better than Whitney Houston… and, eh, how come those young fellas can reach those high notes better than most women can… Ok at least I’m better than Bad Lashes. Well, in the shower anyway. A drunken shower.

On a positive note, my driving is improving and does involve some creativity in the form of some manuevres, which while being slightly dangerous, reckless and probably downright crazy, at least mean that part of my brain is being innovative. Maybe my head isn’t so empty after all. (One can only hope).
