I finally deleted my Bebo profile today after mulling it over for a very, verrry long time. On reflection, I could have used some of that time to save some of the photos that I had on it, as I’m doubtful I had them saved elsewhere. Not to worry though.
I am on BookFace but I’m still a relative ‘noob’ at it compared to others. I only kept the bebo open for so long to keep in touch with people who haven’t yet made the move. The feckers. When I logged in today to open what turned out to be a spam message, I saw that my last real comment had been 19 weeks ago and the one before that over 30. Also, the bright pink butterflies dotted about the page were kind of cringeworthy. Pretty but cringeworthy.
And so, in a flurry of now or never, I clicked the ‘I must be crazy but I want to cancel my membership’ link. Insulting, ey? Crazy me.
Facebook FTW 🙂

I was a big bebo addict at first finding “book face” a bit too silly with all the vampire punches and cute kisses. Then I realised that you could simply ignore them and it really is much simpler and more network friendly than Bebo. I don’t think I am ready to delete BEBO yet and I have hundreds of photos on it.
