This Sunday, I treated myself to the above blusher. I went in to Brown Thomas for a gawk at all the rich people and this literally beamed at me from across the shop floor. I.could.not.resist. I even tried to tell myself that I was too pale for it, with my infamous ghostly hue, but the sales assistant easily convinced me that it was actually just the right shade for me. And not to sound too gullible but she was right – it does bring a nice bit of life and colour to my normally deathly palour.
I’m afraid to admit it, but I’m a sucker for pink. Bright, illuminous, rich, luxurious pink though; none of your wishy washy pastels. And I also only like a little vibrant splash of it here and there, on glossy lips or a wayward bra strap. I will admit to having a pink laptop though – it was just too gorgeous to resist. *girly alert*
However my tastes for pink, or any one colour in particular, completely pale in comparison with Jeeong Mee Yoon’s Pink and Blue Thesis.
“This project explores the trends in cultural preferences and the differences in the tastes of children (and their parents) from diverse cultures, ethnic groups as well as gender socialization and identity.” i.e. lots of pictures of young nippers whose worldly possessions all come from the one colour swatch.
